News and Announcements

Reece Manor has turned in his second consecutive complete-game effort to lead Londonderry to a solid 5-2 win vs Dover. Reece wasn’t as sharp as he normally is, but as a testament to his ability, he was able to keep a good D1 offense at bay with the effort. Manor gave up 5 hits, struck out 5 and walked 1 on the day. He was helped by some stellar defensive plays by left fielder Andy Ross and second baseman Brandon Fish!
Offensively you can see the confidence grow with the team. They jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first and never looked back. Pacing the offense was Nate Sullivan (2-4, 1 run, 1 rbi), Rick Perry (2-4, 1 run), Shane McNamara (2-4, 2 rbi), and Jake Bolduc (2-3, 1 run, 2 stolen bases). Things are trending in the right direction, let’s keep it going for Keene!

Dakota Johnson made his second consecutive strong appearance by blanking Trinity today. Dak got the start, went 5 innings, giving up 5 hits, striking out 5, and giving up 1 earned run. He was strong throughout, mixing his pitches and maintaining focus.
Offensively Shane McNamara shook off the rust from his injury and went 3-3, 3 rbi, and 2 runs. The Lancers will be tough to handle if he is back! Anthony Ferraro (2-3, 3 rbi, 1 run), Nate Sullivan (2-3, 2 runs, 2 stolen bases), Ricky Perry (2-3, 3 rbi, 2 runs) and Tyler Kayo (1-2, 2rbi) all had good days!
Time to get ready for a challenge vs Dover tomorrow!

Anthony Pirolli had full rest and came out in a dominating fashion today. He threw a complete game, 3 hits, 9 strike outs, and 2 walks. Anthony had all is pitches working and he needed them today as the Lancers couldn’t get the offense going. It is good to see the adjustments made by Pirolli are really paying off!
Ricky Perry did the heavy lifting in the rest of the game. He had one of three hits by the Lancers, stole 2 bases, scored a run, he is really locking in at the best time of the season! Reece Manor continued his productive ways with a hit and an rbi as well.
Perhaps just as important as his offensive production was Perry’s defense in the outfield. With the tying run on third and two outs the batter for Central lined a shot up the middle that looked to be destined for a big hit to tie the game. Perry was playing the ball perfectly and came in to snag the ball for the final out of the game! Huge play….
Back at it tomorrow!

After the Pinkerton game the Lancers took a hard look in the mirror and decided to make some changes. The result is a 3-1 record (including a 1-0 win and a come from behind win). Today was no different as the bullpen has run it’s streak of scoreless baseball to 13 today. Travis Peabody was first up and he held Alvirne (who had a 4-1 lead) to 1 hit, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts to keep the Lancers in striking distance. Anthony Ferraro came in to finish it out with 2 innings of 1 strikeout, 1 hit and 2 walks. It was looking like a bad day at the ballpark, but the bullpen saved the team.
At the plate the Lancers were fairly flat for the first 6 innings. Jake Bolduc (2-4, 2 rbi, 1 run, 1 stolen base) drove in the tying run with his second hit of the day.In the 8th Ricky Perry drove the ball to deep center to drive in the go ahead/winning run! Zack Luongo had a day at the plate going 2-3 with a run scored, while freshman Brandon Fish was 2-5, and an rbi to go with a stolen base.
It was a good team win, now we move on to Wednesday!
